Look at this pretty lady! Today I completed her usual full body all year round clip including legs and mane hog. Her owner wanted the full hind creative starry clip as featured on my website. Some people will say creative clipping in summer isn’t achievable, however this isn’t the case. Thanks to my diverse knowledge of clippers I am able to achieve contrasts and map out designs in even the shortest of summer coats! Yes, summer creative clipping is much more trickier than that of the winter coat. However, it encourages me to refine my skills and problem solve using various blades and clippers, to figure out the best solution for each individual coat & colour of horse. I have deliberately not altered the colour contrast on honey in these instagram images so that you can see the true final look on her. Winter fur does often provide an easier canvas to work on, but we are pleased with how this turned out, against the odds! As with all winter clips (as a general rule) a summer creative will last until the coat changes later on in the season. Knowing Honeys coat type, I expect this to be visible until late September, so when having a creative feature please consider your requirements for the coming months. All of this knowledge plus much more will be available via my training school, which will be up and running in 2018
